A great way to show how a band that plays a little screamo, can play great alternative as well. These guys have been together since before 2006, they've really worked at prefroming truly amazing music!

RED CAR WIRE!
Very enerjetic band! Ranges from great upbeat songs, to slow romantic songs. 'Friends' is by far my favorite song. One of those great songs you just want to yell from the rooftops! This group is another great example how a bunch of people can make a symphony come alive!

The Academy Is...
LOVE THIS BAND!!! A great Indie/Alternative group! A favorite song of mine is "We've Got A Big Mess On Our Hands" A little different but wonderful stuff! Another great song of theirs is "Summer Hair = Forever Young" These guys are really what I like, just sweet tunes all put together by themselves!

The Dangerous Summer
One of my new found favorites! A great alternative/rock band from Maryland. Great upbeat music, definitely great for whatever mood your in. The Permanent Rain is probably my favorite song, for sure it shows what talent these guys have got.

Larusso
A local band that my wife introduced me to. Local to me is the Salt Lake City area. All though they are not new to me, they are a great band for others to pick up and listen to. One of there songs is on purevolume and more of there stuff can be found on their myspace page. I've seen them perform a few times, and they put on a great show! They really excite the crowd and get them involved. In fact they'll be opening for Mae (another great band) this Saturday. The concert is at The Avalon, here in SLC, doors open at 6:00 p.m.

The Bank Robbers
From their first album The Pattern Reversed the first song sounds alright to me. I admit, I had to let it grow on me, but I can't just listen to one song and be done with them so I kept listening. The second song, All Is Not Fair In Love And War, can really grab you and you can really get a fill for the potential they have. Then straight to the second album, Tomorrow Belongs To Me, one of the last songs on the CD, Defending The Kingdom, I really like this song. You can really tell a difference in there material and how well they've come together. As you can tell, I do like screamo music. But the list does not end there, I also like: pop, punk, ska, rap, indie, alternative, reggae, hardcore, rock, some techno and a little tiny bit of country.
